IMPACT & GLOBAL RECOGNITION

Athletes for Better Nations – Sierra Leone (AFBN-SLE) exists to demonstrate a simple, evidence-based truth:

  •  Sierra Leone does not lack talent — it has historically lacked consolidated pathways.

  •  Our impact is built around showing how Sierra Leonean talent, when connected to structure, education, and opportunity, performs at the highest global level.

ADIDAS HOUSE PARIS | A GLOBAL MOMENT

AFBN-SLE was presented internationally during the official unveiling of Sierra Leone’s Olympic uniforms at Adidas House in Paris.

The uniforms were designed by Foday Labrum Dumbuya, a Sierra Leonean born and raised designer who also designs for Arsenal Football Club. His work reflects a new generation of Sierra Leonean excellence—bridging culture, sport, and global design.

The uniforms were later ranked among the Top Five Olympic uniforms at the Games, confirming Sierra Leone’s cultural, creative, and international relevance.

A NATION OF WORLD-CLASS TALENT

This presentation featured current and former world-class athletes and global sport leaders across football, athletics, basketball, tennis, boxing, dance, and executive leadership — reflecting the breadth of Sierra Leonean excellence.

These stories demonstrate that Sierra Leone has already produced elite performers across multiple disciplines — when opportunity existed.

FROM SIERRA LEONE TO THE WORLD

More than 85% of the athletes featured were born and raised in Sierra Leone.

Their success was not the result of leaving Sierra Leone — it was the result of accessing structured academic and athletic opportunity abroad, where their talent was identified, supported, and allowed to evolve.

This includes AFBN-SLE founder Felix Sandy, whose own journey reflects how education, professional training systems, and global exposure can transform raw potential into world-class performance.
