Athletes for Better Nations – Sierra Leone (AFBN-SLE) integrates academic accountability into every aspect of youth athlete development.

 

Participation in AFBN-SLE programs requires active engagement in education. Athletic opportunity is designed to strengthen — not replace — academic success.

AFTER-SCHOOL STUDY HALL

AFBN-SLE provides structured After-School Study Hall for identified student-athletes across participating schools.

 

Study Hall offers dedicated time for:

 

  • Homework completion 

  • Tutoring support 

  • Study skills development

  • Preparation for the next school day

 

Academic sessions are supported by qualified teachers and advanced students.

TUTORING & ACADEMIC SUPPORT

Student-athletes receive after-school assistance in:

 

  • Homework review 

  • Reading and comprehension 

  • Study habits and organization 

  • Examination preparation

 

Tutors are selected based on academic performance and commitment to service.

EDUCATION-FIRST MODEL
