How AFBN Started by Felix Sandy

Over a quarter-century ago, I had a burning desire to put my efforts towards building nations for the maximizing industries, particularly those industries where dominance and comparative advantage are prominent. Recognition of the great physical abilities of people of Sierra Leone and self-determination dates to the days of slavery. Sierra Leoneans, simply because of their incredible physical abilities, were the chosen “hand” to build the western economy. It is therefore not surprising, that notwithstanding our 10-1 ratio, African Americans today make up for about eighty percent of professionals athletes in the United States.

AFBN/SLE along with some of today’s successful, professional athletes, and other generous and concerned individuals worldwide, aims to repeat history by reversing the process of slavery backwards. This time it is going to be to the benefit of the world at large and to the empowerment youths of people of Sierra Leone descent. As your International Envoy my focus and dedication is to strengthen athletes along the origins of Sierra Leone.
